  2. Public / Stakeholder Participation

Public participation is a key element of the Fayette County wastewater management planning process. This web site will be an important tool to help disseminate information about the project. As reports are generated, they will be posted here.

Additionally, public meetings will be held to actively involve the public. During the public meetings the following issues will be discussed:
    • Project kick-off: overall project objectives and schedule and community comments and issues of concern (meeting held May 19, 2004, see Task 2 report for meeting minutes)
    • Results of wastewater needs assessment (meeting to be held December 2004)
    • Alternative options (meeting to be held March 2005)
    • Preferred plan and implementation approach (meeting to be held May 2005)
Note the dates of future public meetings are estimates and are subject to change based on project progress.
